I remember there was a woman in a silly hat and that earlier on football
supporters had been escorted past the gallery space by the police. I came away
with a party bag and a commitment to make a video work on the subject of
'tender'.
Oh well, could have been worse... could have been whole lot worse... Most commonly used to denote something being vulnerable, easily moved to pity or sympathy or painful when touched, 'tender' also refers to the truck carried behind the steam locomotive, carrying fuel and water. Separated from its companion, alone, it can be hard to view this object without a certain sense of loss or longing for its more illustrious partner. |
